How much does it cost to attend San Juan Diego Catholic High School (SJDCHS)?

The cost of tuition is $420.00 per month, paid over 10 months. However, financial aid is offered to all families based on family income and individual circumstances.

What is the Corporate Work Study Program?

Students work five eight-hour days per month at professional workplaces, which allows them to graduate with four years of corporate experience. In return for their work, the companies pay a portion of the students' education. The money goes directly to SJDCHS in order to help fund an affordable Catholic education for all of our families.

What does the admissions process entail?

The admissions process is three-tiered: first, students must submit a basic application form, an essay, and a $40 application fee; second, students must provide three recommendation forms, a copy of his or her birth certificate, Social Security card, and full academic records from previous schools; third, a student and parent interview may be conducted.

Does SJDCHS offer Advanced Placement (AP) courses?

Yes, currently SJDCHS offers AP English Language and Composition, AP Art History, AP Calculus AB, AP US History, and AP Biology. SJDCHS evaluates annually the number of interested students entering the AP Program, and adjusts the offered classes as much as possible to suit students' desires and needs.

Does SJDCHS offer electives?

Students at SJDCHS graduate with a Distinguished Achievement diploma of 30 credits including Art and Theology classes. This rigor, combined with our Corporate Work Study Program, present significant schedule restraints on our students. Thus, our schedule does not allow for many elective courses. However, all SJDCHS students take Art and Theology as a part of our set curriculum.

What sports are offered?

San Juan Diego students participate in cross country, basketball, baseball, soccer, softball, spirit squad and volleyball.

What extracurricular activities do you offer?

We offer Choir, Yearbook, French Club, Drama Club, Guitar lessons, Robotics and Venture Crew.*

*After school activities are adjusted annually in accordance with student interest.

Is transportation available?

SJDCHS provides morning transportation to school for a fee of $20 per month. SJDCHS also transports students to and from work every day. Presently, SJDCHS does not provide afternoon transportation. A list of bus routes is available here.

Are San Juan Diego students required to wear uniforms?

No; however, we do have a strict dress code. The dress code of the school community corresponds with the dress code expected in the business world. A detailed description of the dress code is available upon request.

What are Shadow Visits, and how do I schedule one?

A good way for prospective students to experience what San Juan Diego is all about is to participate in a Shadow Visit. During a Shadow Visit, prospective students will join the San Juan Diego students for class and see the school in action! They will have the opportunity to ask questions of both faculty and students, and to experience what it's truly like to be a San Juan Diego student. This full-day visit is an excellent way to see if San Juan Diego Catholic High School is "The School That Works" for YOU, the prospective student!

Prospective students are always welcome to visit the school. However, it is best to call and make an appointment with the Admissions Director. This will ensure that someone is available to answer questions and serve as a guide.

To schedule your Shadow Visit, please contact:
